Obituary for Boyd Mclaurin Jr.
Boyd McLaurin Jr.,60 of Collins Mississippi, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 25th, 2021, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Boyd was born March 8,1961, in Erie, Pa., son of Boyd McLaurin, Sr. and Bernice Carter. He was enlisted in the U.S Army and received an honorable discharge. Boyd returned to Erie and was employed by Bush Industries until he relocated to Mississippi. There, he was employed by Masonite Corporation; at the time of Boyd’s death, he was the primary care giver for his dad, Boyd Sr.
Boyd enjoyed reading, cooking, playing cards and playing pool which, he thought he was pretty good at, but most of all he loved just spending time with family and friends and they enjoyed him and will sadly miss his company.
Boyd was preceded in death by his daughter Tara McLaurin, sisters Belinda Johnson, Mildred McLaurin, brother -in- law Darryl Jamison, Stepfather James W. Carter and Stepsister Veronica Carter.
Beside his parents’, Boyd leaves to cherish his memory his sons’, Shawn and Boyd(Quan)McLaurin’, daughters’, Brittany, Tiffany, Laquasia (Quae)McLaurin and Shaniequa Debo. Additionally, his sisters’, Debora Jamison, Cynthia McLaurin, Stepsisters’ Tamika Harper, Latonya and Monique White, and Vicki Hall. Stepbrothers’, Kevin Meyers, Breaun Magee and Mario Carter. He is further survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren as well as a beloved aunt Mae Ella Harris, an uncle as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
