Carol Diane Joyce 68, of Erie, PA passed away peacefully from this life the morning of June 8,2022. She was surrounded and supported by her family and friends during her last days of her life. Carol was born on June 14,1953, in Erie Pennsylvania to the late Henry Joyce ll and Jeanette Branson- Joyce. Carol graduated from Academy High School in 1972 and was employed by various companies within the hospitality Industry. She loved spending time with her family and rarely missed a social gathering. Carol also enjoyed gardening; took pride in her yard, fishing, and rides around the Peninsula. Carol leaves to cherish her memory two daughters; Rachelle Joyce of Charlotte, NC, and Melissa (Antonio) Lofton of Erie, PA.
One son; Daryl (Amaliya) Joyce of Erie, PA, Four brothers; Henry “Peanut” (Angela) Joyce lll of Erie, PA Charles “Chuck” (Beverly) Joyce of Erie, PA, Leonard Joyce Sr. of Erie, PA, and Larry (Sabrina) Joyce of Auburn, GA, one Sister; Kimberly (Gregory) Page of Erie, PA, Five grandchildren; Emari, Amir, Aaquil , Ethan. and Daryl Jr. Six great grandchildren; Malakhi, Mykaia , Asaun, Braxton, Royal “Peanut,” and Elijah. several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides both parents, Carol was preceded in death by “special friend” James (Heavy) Poland. Carol will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A public viewing will be held at Morning Star Baptist Church 327 East 23rd Street Erie, PA 16503 on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of her celebration of life service at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Ryan Gaines Officiating and Pastor Duane F. Hunter, Eulogizing. Burial will be held at Wintergreen Gorge. Funeral arrangements entrusted to House of Paradise Cremation & Funeral Services Inc.
