Obituary for DeOndre Stewart

DeOndre L. Stewart, age 20, went on to be with the Lord too soon, on Friday October 23, 2020. He was born to Joi Stewart and Jaymar Gilbert on August 16, 2000, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.      DeOndre, affectionately known as Dre, graduated from Allderdice High School class of 2018, in the city of Pittsburgh where he resided his entire life. He went on to pursue a Business degree at Community College of Allegheny County, and was in his Sophomore year. Growing up Dre was very active in sports and his community. In 2011, he joined the Moxie Organization as a mentee. The Moxie Organization is a mentoring program that specialize in training young boys to become men. Through the knowledge and discipline he gained as an active member of the Moxie Organization, he was able to smoothly transfer those skills into becoming a mentor at ACH Clear Pathways where he was gainfully employed. He thoroughly loved his job and it was reciprocated by the children and staff who loved him. He was full of life; he enjoyed playing basketball, football, and online video games with his brothers, uncle, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, DeOndre is survived by his grandparents: Stephanie Stewart, and Richard and Faye Cosby, great grandmother Bobbie Manigualt, siblings: Jaimar, Jaymere, Caleb, J'Ohn, Wayne, little Deondre and Jael, uncles: Nyeem (Tayla), Tyrese (Nakia), Dion, and Lester Jr. (Tarea), aunts: Shamiah (Torrey) and Brandy (Sean). He also leaves his god mom Charity, a host of great aunts/uncles, cousins, and friends who will truly miss the joy he brought to their lives.
If you ask anyone what they remembered most about Dre, they would each say his smile. He had a smile that lit up a room and warmed your heart; he had such a caring personality that left an impression on all he came across, and a swag that was unmatched!  Social distancing and masks are required
