Obituary for Duane Aiken

Duane A. “Dinky” Aiken, age 59, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at his residence.
He was born in Syracuse, N.Y. on June 16, 1961 to the late Eunice Lee Nixon Aiken and Leonard Aiken Sr.
Duane attended Academy High School and later obtained his high school diploma in Syracuse, N.Y. Duane was most recently employed at WHEMCO Steel in Erie. He was a member of Victory Christian Center Cathedral under the leadership of Bishop Dwane Brock. Dinky was an outgoing, fun-loving, family jokester and will be deeply missed.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Thompson-Aiken; sister, Rashell Aiken.
He leaves to cherish his memory; children, Charles Griswold, Barry Thompson, Bruce Thompson, Katrina Thompson, Darrance Thompson and Stachia Thompson; siblings, Leonard Aiken Jr., Linda Ann Aiken,
Byron Aiken, Fateen (Laquell) Gilkey, David Aiken, Kareem Aiken, Michelle Wilson, Erica Wilson and Eugene Wilson; a special aunt, Clantha Nixon, 49 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
