Obituary for Justine Johnson
Justine Howard Johnson, 93, of Erie, Pa. died Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in the comfort of her home.
She was born to the late Raymond Mitchell and Viola Johnson on Friday, July 15, 1927 in Gilbertown, Alabama.
Justine spent most of her early life in Alabama, graduating from Choctaw county High School. After relocating to Erie, she had a passion to serve the Lord, Justine loved to play cards and spend time with her family. She worked at various jobs over the course of her years.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Johnson, a daughter Josephen Robinson, two brothers: Theodore Howard and Washington Howard, a sister Mini Sledge, and a grandson Jameel Grandberry.
Justine was an amazing mother with a kind spirit and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory; five daughters, Vonnie Jordan, Doris Walters, Patricia Purdy (Ronnie), Peggy Arrington (Dempsy), Linda Hamilton, and a son James Howard, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
