Obituary for Levetta Hosey
Levetta Deshae Hosey was born on November 20, 1965 to Mary Hosey and the late Lovell Hosey in Laural, Ms. In 1968 Lovell and Mary Hosey relocated to Gary In. to raise their family. Levetta attended high school at West Side High School in Gary Indiana. She was enrolled in the ROTC program and received academic achievements. After Graduating high school Levetta continued her education at Rust College in Hollysprings Ms. Levetta went on to become a compassionate member of the medical profession working in Chicago IL. Levetta and her childhood love the late David Thomas welcomed a daughter in the world, the late Trinese Nicole Hosey Lopez. In 1988 Levetta relocated to Erie Pa to join her family. She welcomed another daughter in the world, Cedrese Nicolette Hosey in 1989. Levetta continued her education and received certificates in billing and coding.
Levetta was a vivant person with a great personality. Her sense of humor put smiles on many people's faces. She was a loving, caring and spiritual person. As a child she accepted Jesus Christ as her lord and savior at Spirit of Love Baptist Church in Gary In. Levetta continued to Love and worship the Lord at Victory Christian Church under the leadership of Bishop Dwane Brock. Levetta was involved in the church choir because she loved to sing. She could speak French fluently and loved to sing and dance. She was known for showing exemplified love, strength and courage. Levetta will always be remembered for her greatest attribute's, faith and unconditional love for the Lord.
In November 2018 Levetta was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Her faith and love in God gave her strength to fight her cancer until her battle ended on May 31, 2021. Levetta is preceded in death by her Father Lovell Hosey, her beloved daughter Trinese Thomas Lopez, her first born grandson Trijaun Cortez Williams and step father Walter Thomas. She leaves to cherish in memory her mother Mary Hosey, daughter Cedrese Hosey (Oscar Gordon Jr.), Granddaughters Amari Gordon and Christasia Williams, grandsons Amar and Amir Gordon, great granddaughter Jahnese Richardson and her great grandson Jai'yon Williams, Sisters Sheila (Ellis) Bryant, Valetta Hosey (Dwight Harris) Tikedra Thomas (Ron Curry),, Chequeta (Steven) Knight, Nieces Tashina Hosey, Shelae Bryant, Brazhane Mckinzie, Nephews Ellis Bryant Jr., Tireal Wheeler, Tayvon Hosey, Lavonne Beardsley, Jamarious Knight, Jiron Curry, her childhood best friend and Godmother to her children Angela Rogers and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
