Obituary for Mauris Pacley

Mauris Martel Pacley, age 37, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at
UPMC Hamot.
He was born in Erie, PA, on October 5, 1983 to Debra Pacley Martin and the late Maurice E.
Martin.
A lifelong resident of Erie, Mauris graduated from East High School class of 2003. He was
employed at Bush Industries in Erie, PA, as a machine operator.
Mauris was a perfected lyricist and loved rapping with his “Holly Cartel” crew where he became
affectionately known as “Moe Green - The General”.
He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family.
His jokes and outgoing personality will be deeply missed by all.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mario (Dooney) Pacley Sr.;
maternal grandparents, John and Velma Pacley; paternal grandparents, John Barnett, Anna
Payne, Jesse and Theatrice Martin.
Mauris is survived by his mother, Debra Martin of Erie; birth father, Rodney Payne Sr. of
Georgia; two daughters, Musiq and Isis Pacley of Erie; three sons, Amor, Moses and Myan
Pacley, all of Erie; siblings, Maurice (Ralph) Pacley, Dejah A. Pacley, both of Erie, Rodney
Payne Jr. and Tywon Payne of Georgia, Evarie Magee, Rodasha Payne, Ralonda Payne, Rakeem
Payne, all of Erie; a childhood friend, Ezekiel Bayeté, with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
A public viewing will be held at Second Baptist Church 757 E. 26th St. 16504 on Wednesday,
March 10, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of his homegoing service at 12 pm, with Bishop
Climatee Roberts officiating and Rev. Lamont Higginbottom, eulogist.
