Michael Jerome Ford Jr. affectionately known as Mike, Big Mike and Mikey by family and friends was born on March 19, 1972, to Michael Jerome Ford Sr. and Alice (Ford) Jones.
Mike was educated in the Erie School District and attended both Technical Memorial and East High School where he graduated in 1992.
Mike was united in holy matrimony with Reveta Keys in 2016.
Mike was baptized by his grandfather, the Rev. James E. Ford at Second Baptist Church. While growing up in the church, Michael served on the usher board and the Junior Choir.
Mike attended Triangle Technical School where he studied electrician program. Mike was able to utilize his mechanical skills and knowledge by working in a variety of mechanical shops. He was also employed with Presque Isle Downs and Casino. Most recently, Mike was employed by UPMC Hamot where he worked as a transporter.
Mike was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed fishing, occasional trips to the casino and spending time with his family and friends. Mike was friendly, well-liked and a friend to many.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents the Reverend James and Lucille Ford, his father Michael Ford, Aunts Grace Bernard, Earlene Griffin, Mary Allen, Mildred Hamblin; and uncles James Ford Jr., Earl Dawson Sr., Johnny Dawson Sr., and Larry Dawson Sr.
Mike leaves to cherish his memory his wife Reveta, children Shadara, Michael III., Marquell, Morae and Marion. Additionally, Michael is survived by grandchildren Amora, Arian (Fatdad), Messiah, and Monte. Mike is also survived by his mother Alice and step-father Freddie Jones; mother-in-law Linda Huston (Jerome); sisters Alyssa (Patrick) Heywood and Darlene Jones; brother Kenneth Ford; sister-in-laws Jeanette Gaines (Bryan) and Mary Ann Pollard (John); his aunt Donna Jones, an uncle, Percy Dawson, his godparents Sherman and Barbara Roberts, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
