Obituary for Ruth Morton
Ruth E. Morton 87, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away Monday, January 10,2023 at Walnut
Creek Nursing Facility. Formerly of Saegertown, Pa. She was born on January 24,1935 to her
late parents Orville Cottrell and Edna McClenahan Cottrell.
Ruth was employed by Lord and Mercer for 15 plus years, Blair Processing and later she
became a school bus driver. Ruth was a member of Westland Methodist in Corry, PA. and
Loved going horse back riding. Ruth leaves to cherish her memory, sisters; Fern Cotton and
Margrette Thomas both of Erie, PA. a special niece Lisa Larson. Ruth was preceded in death by
both parents Orville and Edna Cottrell, sister Betty Hoak and husband Herbert Morton.
Ruth will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Burial will be private at McCray Cemetery.
